The ‘Bandits of Glass’ are a midlands based group of glass makers, comprising of award winning glass artists Elliot Walker, Tim Boswell and Charlotte Hughes-Martin, and a rotating team of associate artists. Founded in the historic glass blowing quarter of Stourbridge, the team has received wide acclaim for their fun and informative demonstrations.
They were a regular spectacle at the Art-in-Action festival at Waterperry house, and performed the final demonstration at the 40th anniversary. They have also been invited to support Peter Layton’s ‘London glass blowing’ studio at a number of their public events and are also responsible for projects during the international festival of glass where they completed a world record for the longest glass blowing demo (24 hours by the way!).
The Bandits have also been involved in a number of events for the British Glass Foundation including the fundraising auction of "Glass Doodles" that raised the best part of £10,000 for the Foundation.
The Bandits of glass are dedicated to the promotion and preservation of glass making skills in both traditional and contemporary practices, and to supporting and developing the next generation of artists trying to begin their careers.
